drill down not working in workspace but works in report studio

I have created a report in RS and used it in Cognos workspace. the report has two prompts which are cascading and a cross tab which has data, I am using sectioning on one of the field and drill down works in RS . But when I click on the same field in workspace, the hour glass just loads but nothing happens. Then when I tried to add the sectioned field to my crosstab, then the drill down works in work space also.

Is there any issue related to sectioning and drill down and workspace
