Fit To Page In Excel Format

Hello

Wondering if anyone has any ideas on formatting a Re port Studio Excel output with many columns  to print to a single page width.

The only thing I can think of is exporting the excel file to an external directory outside Cognos and then formating the reports using a VB script.

Any ideas ???

I think using Excel format for a precise layout is not a good idea. The level of control from Cognos is just not there. I try to design most reports to work equally well in all output formats but generally I only design specifically for Excel output if the user wants to do something with it after the report is generated.

In my opinion, if you are after a pixel-perfect layout for printing, you are probably best off using PDF.
