Hi All

I am not 100% sure I understand the Everyone Group,  All Authenticated Users Group and the Anonymous User.

If I explain what I think I know, can someone tell me if I am correct?

Anonymous User - (Assuming we have this turned on). Anyone can get into Cognos. They do not have to logon and authenticate via AD. They only have access to objects that the Anonymous User is given permissions to see/do.

Everyone Group - Everyone who is logged in to Cognos is part of this group including Anonymous users. Can assign Everyone to Roles or other groups.

All Authenticated Users Group - All Cognos users who where Authenticated through AD, this would exclude Anonymous users. Can assign to roles and other group.

Sorry  if this seems like a easy question. But sometimes if I talk (write) it out it helps me understand because I have to attempt to explain it in my own words.

Thanks

Craig

That's pretty much the way I see it. Although, All Authenticated Users means authenticated to a provider set up in Cognos admin, which may or may not include AD among others. You can have multiple authentication sources.
