How to recover from an error in consolidation - or logical - layer

I've imported all my raw data into a foundation layer - or data layer - and created all the correct relationships.
I created a consolidation layer - or logical layer - in which I merged many query subjects to create a certain dimension.  In the process I renamed some variables and I deleted a few (thinking I would never ever need them!).  It is tested and it works. But now ... I realize I need to go back and add some fields I previously deleted.  The fields are still in the foundation layer - just in the consolidation layer.  Do I have to start all over again???

Hi,

No - just edit the definition of your query subject(s) in the logical layer and drag in the relevant item(s) from the foundation layer.

Cheers!

Thanks :)   Worked like a charm.  Previously I got a scary error message when I tried to drag the item from the foundation layer without first clicking on the consolidation layer and then clicking on 'Edit Definition'.   -- So Thanks again
