Cognos 8.4.1 Contributor web client components on a Linux machine?

Does anyone know if the Contributor web client components for 8.4.1 SP2 can be installed on a Linux machine successfully?  If so, is there any documentation that you can provide?  There is nothing on the IBM Cognos site that I can see, and it is not mentioned under supported software environments...

Hey Jeff,

It's not a supported environment for the client components (or any of the planning components for that matter -- aside from the GW piece, which is just a copy / paste into the Linux BI GW install).  Since it's not supported there wouldn't be any IBM specific documentation available, and personally I've never seen the components running on Linux, natively.  That is to say, you may be able to use a workstation virtualization product that runs natively on Linux, but it would run a guest operating system of a supported windows version.

Eric,

It's been a while...hope you are doing well!

Yes, this is what I expected, but I thought I would see if anyone was aware of the possibility.  We have Citrix connections for the thick-client modules but not for the Contributor web...trying to keep from creating this for one single user...

I'll keep looking....
