Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN is seeking a Cognos Administrator/Developer to lead Cognos operations, maintenance, security, optimization and performance tuning.  Will advise and perform impact analysis on system enhancements and upgrades as well as backup recovery and archival and support.  Responsible for Cognos SDK solutions.  Will work closely with IT infrastructure as well as work with clients to design and implement an enterprise environment across multiple areas.  Integrate data and processes.  This is a new position created to expand the use of strategic business intelligence in decision-making.  Goal is the delivery of mature, world-class BI solutions.

Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree required in computer science, technology or related field,  with relevant experience in following areas:  5+ years administering BI solutions such as IBM Cognos, Business Objects, MicroStrategy with 3+ of those years in Cognos 8 or 10 environments. Proven technical expertise on Cognos 8 or 10 and strong experience with Cognos SDK development and implementation.  SQL programming and knowledge of database/data warehouse concepts preferred.
