Exporting to Excel - Merged Rows

Good day all!

I have a client who was able to export reports in C8.4 to excel and it wouldn't merge rows on him. That is an output item (memo field with many carriage returns) would simply stretch the row in excel to match the size of the data. As a result if you had 10 rows of data you would occupy 10 rows in excel.

However since we migrated to C10 this doesn't seem to be the case and I'm drawing a blank on how to resolve the matter (if it can even be fixed). Any advice on how to avoid merged rows?

This is a standard list report exporting to excel 2007 from HTML.
