Security Namespace issue

Hello guys,

I have 2 different namsapces in Cognos configuration, pointing to the same Active Dirctory root.

Namespace A
Namespace B

The security is given using Namespace A. However, even if the users select Namespace B it should allow him to login since the root dirctory is the same. This works for all the users except one. It used to work for this user but last few weeks it doesn't work.

Anybody could explain how cognos process this request at the backend? Thank you!

Heya Prit,
I'll try to help, as I've had several such configurations in the past.
But first thing's first: When something had worked but ceased to work, it begs the question what had changed since. Have you looked into which user settings/Cognos configurations have changed recently? Maybe the user was added to one more group, or taken out of one, or what have you.
Since all users work fine, I'd skip system-wide troubleshooting at this stage.
