The Citadel invites applications for a Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse Analyst in the Office of Institutional Research. 

The successful candidate must be able to perform the duties of a business intelligence and data warehouse analyst supporting the Colleges need for data-informed decision making.  Will be responsible for data sourcing, migration, design, implementation and data extraction, maintenance, and the collection and analysis of business requirements for future expansion.  Will work collaboratively with college community in designing and extracting data and reports from the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Operational Data Store for projects. Will be required to apply programming principles and methods to the collection, processing, analysis, and presentation of the College's data as requested; as well as assist requestors in the interpretation and use of the results which may include complex programming analyses for a wide range of requests using data in different formats and from various platforms. Works to design dashboard metrics and reports to support the institution's strategic planning, assessment, and accreditation processes.   

Must be able to investigate, design and manage projects to enhance the functionality of the warehouse, including the addition of new feeder systems. Will be required to identify the need for and develop proposals for relevant policies and procedures associated with the warehouse, including relevant privacy / security / data access policies. Will maintain expertise in the enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence tool set and strategic product direction as well as use expert-level knowledge of transactional and analytical data and processing to determine data capture and reporting solutions to best meet the College's goals.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree and professional experience in a related field. Preference given to candidates with degrees in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems or a related field. 

The individual should possess an extensive knowledge of specific computer software and operating systems, including SQL, HTML and Microsoft Office. Ability to analyze data and provide solutions to complex problems. Ability to prepare technical and user-friendly reports in a clear and concise manner. The individual must be familiar with institutional data and should have knowledge of various methods of data extraction, as well as data warehouse systems, accountability systems and report writing tools, preferably Cognos.

The individual must be able to interpret the needs and policies of the institution and formulate procedures to effectively present information, both orally, electronic and in writing. The individual must be able to work well under strict deadlines.

Occasional travel in-state and out-of-state is required.
Previous experience in a higher education institution preferred. Experience with Ellucian Operational Data Store and Enterprise Data Warehouse required.  Prefer experience with Oracle databases, data warehousing, database schemas design, and metadata management and documentation.

Salary/Benefits:

State Salary Range: $36,840.00 - $68,160.00

You can't be serious MFGF ! For the salary mentioned, even a fresher would hesitate to apply, leave alone somebody like you ! I actually wanted to comment on this yesterday but then I thought that anybody can post anything regardless of whether it makes sense or not and it is not my business to start pointing out things so I didn't comment.

I was just asking because the post didn't mention it, and after all we're a worldwide community. I couldn't possibly hope to command such a giddy salary - you're quite right :)
