How to create a sample Report in Cognos Portal->Report Studio

How can i create a sample report from Report Studio? when i click on link Report Studio, a new popup window gets opened and asks for Recently used packages and nothing is there in drop down. i am completely new to cognos. plz some one help me with this configuration.
