Is rollup possible at the detail level for calucation?

I think I'm gonna ask a weird question. I know this can't be done Impromptu and can be only done in PowerPlay. But I have a business scenario where they require the reports in Impromptu.

Here is what they needed. They are trying to create a summary report based on the highest level detail. And they want the calculation associated with it to rollup  to lowest level detail. But note this is not a detail report and will not have the lowest level detail in the report itself.

To my belief, I think it is not feasible. I just want to know if there is any round about way in creating it.

I can't quite understand how something can be rolled (up) to the lowest (down) level of detail.

Can you provide additional details with specific data.

We could then comment on whether Impromptu is the right tool or not.
