Sorting of column Tips required

Hi All

I am new to cognos Report studio, I am trying to sort company Heirarchy based on column. I.e I have column called "Designation" and another column called "Designation_Sortorder". How can I include this sort at framework level so that when ever the dimension "Designation" is used its sorted??

I have posted the same under framework topic. There they suggested this should be done at report level.

Pls throw some light...

In Report Studio If you use List report You can go with Layout sort...
Or
If you use Cross tab Drag the Data Item in rows or columns select that data item go to properties
Under "Data" you can Find Sorting click on that Drag and drop Designation key.

Thank you very much it worked. I added "Designation_Sortorder" column in Query level and used in the Data->sort.
