I am trying to pass a a group of values using a range slider to a data deck to produce a graph, but cannot get multiple value, i only get the first value in the range.  Help!   My range slider is a 24 hour time period.  I am trying to let the user pick the time period they want to graph.  The time period passed from the range slider would be my x axis.  I have successfully worked with sliders passing a single value, so i think i have the basics down.  How do i get multiple value passed through to this card?  I appreciate any help you can lend.  Thanks!

Hi,

The key point with a deck or a data deck is that only one card can be shown at any one time. Your slider control is dictating which card is displayed, not how your chart is filtered. It's also important to realise that normal charts cannot be filtered in Active Reports - they are pre-rendered when the MHT is created at runtime. The new Extensible Visualizations in 10.2.1 can be filtered, but these are not the same as charts. In short, what you are trying to do is not possible with charts.

To give you an analogy, think of it as having a deck of cards, where only one card can ever be on the top. Your control is dictating which card is the visible one. Your cards contain pre-rendered chart images and you cannot modify the images with your control - only switch from one card to the next.

Cheers!
