Hi,

In data manager, when we execute a SQL query, how does cognos creates a sql query to be sent to the database.

Which configuration file does the  cognos uses to replace the database functions. Mostly it uses cogdmod.ini file to get the database functions.

But when we are acessing DB2/AS400 using iSeries drivers, which file it uses...is it cogdmod.ini or cogdmd2.ini file?

Hi,

In Data Manager the query that gets executed is defined by the Data Manager developer. As long as you are coding queries in Native SQL, you simply use the appropriate database-specific function in your coded query.

Cheers!
