Hi,
is there any chance to create some query or something else, which will run and create reports in Report Studio and export to excel according to value of some attribute. I am asking this because I have 30 department stores (Store1, Store2, Store3.....Store30), and now I can only run whole report at once for all 30 stores, and than in excel copy-paste for each one. Second option is to create prompt filter but also and in that case I need manually to chose Store1 (run report-export to Excel), than to chose Store 2 (run report-export to Excel).... and in that way 30x which I need to do every week and it takes lot of time and not to mention that is not so interesting  8)

Just to mention that I have relational model

Thanks

Lynn

This would be helpful but I have relational model. Also in this moment only I can run reports for all Stores, they at the moment do not have possibility to use Cognos, s I need help.

I think you should look into bursting a little more carefully. It absolutely works for a relational source and you have two options to distribute content to non-Cognos users. You can email content to users and/or you can save the output to a network drive.

The report studio user guide might be a better place to start.

The other option is to add a store prompt as you mentioned and then set up a job in Cognos connection that calls the same report 30 times passing a different prompt value each time. This is not an ideal solution really because you'll need to keep modifying the job steps whenever you have stores added or dropped. Bursting will automatically handle the distribution in a totally data-driven manner.

Thank for your help, I have read it better so I would try it.
