Hi Gurus,
I'm a TM1(v10.1.1) beginner and am trying to create dimensions using TI from the sample 'GreatOutdoors'.

While creating a Product dimension, one thing that I'm confused is -  under Maps Tab when you map the variable to the Dimension at the element level why is that Element Type property set to Numeric when the data in the Sample Value populates a string.

Attached is the screenshot.

Regards
Raj

The "Element Type" indicates whether you are storing string or numeric measures under that element.
Normally a "measure dimension" is the last dimension in your cube and the type put on its elements -- 'n' or 's' -- determines what kind of measure values can be stored under it.
