Progressive Chart with Excel

Hi everyone, hope we're well?

I'm trying to load a Progressive Chart (Cognos v10).  I am using one measure value as standard, and 2 categories on the y-axis, "Year" and "Account" dimensions.  The plan is to show the same account dimensions, and how they're values change and compare over the years.

I can get the look I want in HTML output, however, if I try outputting to Excel, I receive only the first year, and it doesn't show it in a waterfall diagram, it reverts to showing a horizontal bar chart essentially.

Has anyone come across this problem before where the progressive chart outputs differently from in Excel from its HTML?  This is happening whether its in Excel 2002, 2007 and even PDF?

Any ideas please are welcomed!
