Excel and Text

Hello,

I imagine this questioned has been asked before, however I'm yet to yield a worthwhile solution!

Outputting Cognos Reports to Excel.  How on earth do we get round this issue of text wrapping?  Is there a way of making this possible from an aesthetic point of view?

Hi iBoy,

I had the same problem the other day. Long texts get wrapped when exported to Excel making one row become two rows.
E.g I had a list of 453 rows which became 454 rows in Excel because one field in one text column had a very long text. The text in itself also contained a CR.
This row became two different rows in Excel. Very annoying!

What helped me come around this was

a) under Font & Text - White Space - I picked No wrap
b) under Font & Text - Spacing & Breaking - Word break - I picked Keep all.

This fixed the problem for me - the list in Excel is now 453 rows and not 454.
