Hi
I would like to add individual data items to each list cells in a list. I am only able to drag and drop columns. If I drag a data item, that data item is being displayed in the entire column, instead, I want it to be displayed in a single cell.

Thank you!

There is an icon that looks like a padlock on the toolbar.  If you click that icon, it will 'unlock' the report and allow you to put more than a single data item in a column.

Hi TJjohnson!
Thank you for your reply. I did that and I added Data Item 1 in a cell, and the entire column is displaying Data Item 1. I only want data item to be displayed in one specific cell instead of the entire column.

Check out the use of singletons..  (And by the way, this is not a spreadsheet , but a BI tool) combining them with additional header lines within a list

Hi Blom,
My understanding is that using so many singletons will affect the performance of the report?I am going to have 13 x 12 number of cells.

It sounds like what you want is a cross tab instead of a list.

Again the problem with that is not all the values are numeric. Half of them are varchar and half of them are numeric.

A table within a list would be another solution, though it requires fetching everything within 1 query (the one associated with the list) Still feel you are trying to mimic a spreadsheet though..
