Cognos 10.2 strange error

hi all,

i have a DMR built in 8.3, after upgrade to 10.2 I re-published the package with DQM enabled. but when i validate the report i get the following error:

RSV-VAL-0010 Failed to load the report specification. XQE-PLN-0004 Found an internal error on node 'CogMDXGroup'. Not in sort context.

has anyone encountered this before? google was not of much help.

Hi,

The first thing to mention is that DQM enforces much stricter OLAP rules adherance than CQM. It's not necessarily the case that all reports which work in CQM will work without fixing in DQM. If you try the report in 10.2 using CQM, does it work?

I have also spotted an APAR relating to this error code - it's documented here:

The message indicates some issue with sort context. Do you have sorting enabled somewhere? Is it a normal report sort, or are you using a dimensional sort function? I would try to pin down exactly what aspect of the report triggers the message in DQM, and we can go from there...
