The .mht extension - Security Annoyances

Hi All,

Couple of minor security annoyances I'm having to deal with in getting active reports operational...

1) Anyone know a good way of telling "IE" when opening them not to do that security/warning bar?

2) We plan on bursting active report outputs via email to our users, but the "MS Exchange" group will need to add an exception to allow .mht extensions through. I'm certain they will ask for documentation (maybe from IBM Cognos) as to their 'safety'. Would anyone happen to have documentation like that?

thanks,
david.

1)  check your IE version browser settings

2)  as an option, consider sending the burst output with a link to the source vs. an attachment (less overhead / centralized distribution)

Hope these suggestions help - I'm getting closer to AR roll out also, tripping over pebbles and climbing over rocks.  :)
