Relative sized pie charts

We are working on a conversion of a Tableau project and one of the reports they had was a set of pie charts and the relative size of the entire pie was determined by the population.  Example would be that the group with the highest population was the biggest pie and then they get smaller and smaller.  I have never seen anything like this in Cognos.  Is that possible to change the size based on a metric?

Thank you,

Steven

Hi Steven,

Cognos does do it. Use the cognos 10 pie chart (What I mean by that is make sure you check in report studio under tools>options in advanced tab use legacy chart authoring is unchecked). Add a new pie chart add population in measure section, in slices with age group range and in categories add region you will see relative size between pie chart it might not be to noticeable unless there is a large variation. And you need to remember to sort the categories by your measure population.

Thanks,
RK

Hi RKMI,

I tried your method. Unfortunately, It doesn't work like that. Do you have any clue about that?
All pie charts are the same size even there's a big difference between them.
Looking forward to your reply.

Thanks,
Michael

I know this response is over a year late, but I believe what the original post was looking for is a visualization called a Packed Bubble and not a pie chart.  This is available, if loaded by your administrators, by adding a Visualization to your report in Report Studio.
