Hello,

I install a new server with the version 10.1.3. The previous was in 10.1.2

When the users tried to open a eList node they have the error message : Client server mismatch

I tried on my computer to unsintall the client framework and install again the client. It downloads an update but it doenst work. Is there something to change in folder rcp_updates ?

Hi there,

I believe you have provided only partial version information.  To better understand your environment, please provide the full version information.  In cases like this, you need to make sure that the client framework and the contributor client are removed.  You can then do an install using the MSI files from the rcp_install directory on the server, or you can attempt to do a pull using your browser.  If there are version issues on your servers (not all servers at the same version), this could also cause problems.

Thanks for the reply.

I have only client framework in "uninstall programs". I uninstall it and make a full install with the rcp_install of the server. After that client_framework is in version 10.1.3014.0. I reboot my browser and try to open a node of the eList. Then he downloads an update but makes the error.

I logged on my previous server and it download me the proper update (10.1.3).

That means the files in rcp_update in the new server are wrong ? How could it be ?

If you have multiple cognos planning servers, you need to take a look at all of them and make sure that the components listed in the cmplst.txt are the same for the planning pieces.  Specifically, the machine running the CAC service is the machine that serves the rcp_install files, so you would want to make sure it's the same as all of your other machines (app servers, job servers, gateways, etc)

A couple of things:
1. Please forward a screenshot of the error you are receiving.
2. Always list the full version, especially in cases where you may have version issues.  This just makes it less confusing for the rest of us.

The error :

I think the rpc_updates in my new server are not correct. They are not the same than in the old server.
