Hello, just ran into an issue where our application was failing and leaving large dmp files on our server.  It was around 25 gigs worth of files, causing some issues.  Is it possible to have cognos query folder locations on a server and see which files are in there?

If possible I'd have a scheduled job to email me if there a lot of dmp files on a particular server.

If this isn't possible any other options are welcomed.

you could create a database stored procedure that scans the content of a directory and store the result in a table then use it in a report. if you use oracle i can provide you with an oracle stored java program.

Thanks for the reply, sounds like a good idea, but I'm not sure that would fly where I work.  Really locked down here.

That's something that your infrastructure team should be doing. There are tons of options on monitoring HDD usage automatically, all depending on what OS you're using.
