Hi,

The absolute best way to improve the report performance of a developed report is to make it go faster. There are probably a number of ways to do this - likely more than one and less than a lot. :)

Hope that helps!

MF.

PS. From a question as devoid of detail as yours, that's really the only answer that can be given - one which is equally as devoid of detail. We will do our best to help, but you will need to tell us what type of report it is, what the queries and objects are doing, what complex calculations you might have, what conditional rendering is going on, what the underlying data source is, what kind of package you are using, how much data your report is spanning, what page breaks you are doing, what master/detail relationships you have etc etc.

Upgrade the hardware! But, then everything will  be faster  ;)

On a somewhat similar note, I've found that truncating all of the tables also tends to improve the performance of most reports.

You can also put the data in EXCEL instead of a database. Make sure to put all of the data in one EXCEL spreadsheet and the no. of rows should not be more than 100. That way the report will be a lot faster and for the rest of the data you can run the report multiple times and keep changing the data in that EXCEL file as many times as you run the report.
