Good Morning,

We are on a quest to replicate a scatter plot that we produce using excel.   We can get close in Cognos, using the Scatter plot, the issue is connecting dots, with arrows.   The metric plots two measures, one on the x and the other on the y, then for a few groupings place two dots on the graph, one showing a historical point, and another showing the current value.  Each of the points are then connected using a line and an arrow.  Finally, we add some fixed lines (shown below in Greed & Red, for the high/low warning areas for the metric.  I have attached a screen shot for both.

Hi,

is it me or do you try to create a linear regression line?
IN this case i think there will be a problem, because there wont be a straight way in cognos to create these as fas as i know.
In cognos 10, cognos received a optional add-in name "Statistics", which is able to to correlations, regressions and some not 2 complicated statistical stuff.

You might want to check it out, i think this will work for you pretty well.
Besides that (and spss of course) i dont know any way to create a regression line in charts ,im sry :/
