Hello,
From past forums, It seems using javascript in Active reports has certain limitations.
May be there is a workaround for my issue.

I have created an active report which I would like to make available to the users via Cognos Connection and Ipad (IBM Cognos Mobile app) both and also would like to provide few links within active report to download report outputs. I believe, link will not work in Ipad. So, I would like to hide it in Ipad but want to show when a user opens it via Cognos Connection using PC.

Initially, I thought of using a Javascript to detect the browser and showing the link based on the value. For example, if the browser is IE then show the link, if "Safari" then hide the link. It worked perfectly with regular report but not with active report.

Please let me know if that is possible with or without javascript in active report.

Thanks
Sandeep

Hi - Javascript is not supported in Active Reports even though the HTML object is.

I am not sure how else you could show/hide a report element unless you can determine on what device the report is being viewed.
