Okay, so I'm running IBM Cognos Connection and I'm in My Folders, I have a list of queries all with the same columns but different data in the filters. They are all Run against the same DB. I want to run them all without having to hit the little play arrow icon under the header label 'Actions' and then have to select the options such as format and delivery... 'save the report'... etc.

is that possible or are there just numerous limitations to this antiquated system.

Hi,

You can create a Job from Cognos connection and then set it up so that the job runs the needed report all at once and you can make changes to the job so that you can modify prompts or remove or add new reports into the same Job. Let know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
RK

That Sounds perfect! would you be able to give me a step by step? Thank you.

Hi,

Oh Ok since it's 121212. :P
Go to Cognos Connection,

1. Create a new job ( It should be in the toolbar where job, url, dashabord, copy, paste,...) , next
2. You will get a New Job wizard add all the needed reports to the Job, you can specify if you want to run all at once or in sequence and other options...
3. Next, you will see option to run once or schedule or save only to run at a later time. Finish

Congrats you create your job, no pun intended. :D

Thanks,
RK
