Unreadable Content in Excel

Hey everyone

I know Cognos has always had a love hate relationship with Excel :-) I'm getting a strange error message, I'm hoping some can help.

I have a report with 2 pages.  Each page contains a crosstab.  If I run it page into excel individually everything works OK but if I run both pages into excel together I get the attached error message.  The spreadsheet then opens OK, the data looks OK but he second page is named Recovered Data.

Any ideas what's going on and how to fix it?

I've got other reports with loads more pages which work oK.

Hi,

This might sound like a stupid reply but, try this cut out the 1st page and only run the second page see if that is even able to export into excel.

If it still gives you the same error I would recommend create a new report and add the associated queries and test in a new report structure by adding the crosstab for page2 and crosstab for page1. I'm guessing something got corrupted in XML if this works vs your old report defination.
