Report Studio Speed Issues

Hi All





I am new to Report Studio having used other report writing products for some 10+ years. 

We have recently gone live with cognos express and when accesing data thorugh Architect or Xcelerator via the cubes themselves the data comes back very quickly however, I have created a report in Report Studio which when run churns away for a a good number of minutes before failing due to running out of memory. 

I basically went into framework manager and created a package by just pulling in our Product Sales cube and published it without doing anything else in Framework Manager should something be done in here to speed the queries up?

I currently have the Maximum View Size parameter set to being 1000MB as i assume this govens the query size in Report Studio also? 

Am i missing something fundamental when writing the reports to speed them up?

Have you tried partitioning the cube?

No havent done this i'm new to cognos and have never done anything with partioning cubes before.
