Hi

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Single_sign-on

Whether or not you need it depends on the requirements of your business users. Do they need to sign on to Cognos based on their workstation login without having to authenticate again, or are they happy to enter their credentials each time they go into Cognos?

user only enter the credentials to log on cognos in this case we need to set anonymous is false single signon means is True right...?

MFGF

Hi,

No - not so. If you allow anonymous access, this means your users have access to Cognos without authenticating themselves at all. With single signon, anonymous access is set to false, and your Cognos instance is configured to detect and use the workstation signon of each user without prompting them, but under the covers authentication is still happening.
