Hello! Would you help me with this problem please?

Requirement: I want to move reports from Dev to Test to Prod. This needs to be automated.
Constraints:
a. There may be multiple projects using multiple models/packages and multiple reports against those packages.
b. No report creation or direct pkg publish to Test or Prod, only to Dev.
c. New or changed reports may have to be moved only a few at a time (maybe even 1 at a time).

Question: Which method is better - SDK or Deployment Archive?

Thanks for your time. Hope I was clear.

With requirements like these ... SDK would be my choice.

Thanks, Administrator. I am glad at least one person agrees with me!

Actually, it's the cost of SDK that's throwing off some people where I work. I told them about all the things SDK can do in addition to dev/tst/prd movement of pkgs/reports. Let's see what the outcome is.

Keep in mind that there are 3rd party applications if you're interested that allow for this functionality and more.  Take a look at http://www.cognos.com/solutions/powered_by_cognos/brightstar_partners.html

The backup and restore module allow you to archive any number of selected reports from any content store and easily restore them back to the same location in the same environment, a different location within the same environment, or an entirely different content store.
