Calendar Control (Date Prompt) format ISSUE

Hi,

I have a requirement in which i have to use an edit box for the date prompt. But the date in the edit box should be displayed in the format "MM/DD/YYYY". It should be displayed in the same format, even if the user selects it from the calendar icon next to the edit box.
how should i do it?
