What files and folders should be excluded from anti virus scanning? I found this link on the IBM site dealing with planning http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21461489, but what about all the other tools (BI, Transfromer, FrameWork Manager, TM1, Data Manager...) Thanks.

Was told about  DataManager this this afternoon.

DataManager:
Anti-virus scanning has been known to affect ETL performance in the past, so we would typically suggest excluding the following directories:

<COG_ROOT>\bin
<COG_ROOT>\logs
<COG_ROOT>\datamanager (including sub-directories) <COG_ROOT>\temp

It would also be wise to exclude the system temp directory (this is defined in your system or user environment variables).  The above information does not include some of the following items that may or may not be applicable:

-If you are using flat files as a source or destination for the ETL, consider excluding these files as well.
-If you are using the relational database bulk load utility, consider excluding the loader file locations as well.
-If you have enabled any detailed logging, such as a UDA trace, disable or exclude the log file(s) from being scanned.
