Hi EP Gurus

I am unable to start IBM Cognos Service In content server due to problem in conncting to content store as shown below.

ERROR ] Connection test to 'salcogdb1' failed.
e7a: Unable to open connection using connection string of Provider=SQLNCLI;Data Source=salcogdb1;UID=cognosadminp1;PWD=********* and timeout of 15 seconds.

Provider cannot be found. It may not be properly installed.

[ ERROR ] Cognos Configuration is unable to access the Planning Store. Verify your database connection parameters, and then contact your database administrator for assistance.

Please let me know your comments on how to proceed.

I would be sure to backup any files you change in this process, in general, but particularly since the doc only references Cognos v8.x and not version 10.x:
