Hi All,
I installed a cognos 10.1.1 server without selecting content database,
since I want to create a content store in ms sql server 2005
I am getting scripts for db2 to create content store.
but not for sql server
In the installation c10-64/configuration schemas .There are multiple scripts of sql .
Which one to select is not mentioned
Can you guide me for creating content store in sql server.

Thanks in advance

MFGF

You don't need to run any scripts manually. Just go into the SQL Server Management console and create a new, empty database. Then go into the Cognos Configuration utility, delete the existing Content Store entry (which is set up to link to DB2 by default) and create a new Content Store entry which points to your empty SQL Server database. Right-click and Test this entry to make sure your credentials etc are ok, then save the config and start the service (using the start button in Cognos Configuration) and the content store will automatically get initialised for use.

MF.

Hi MFGF,
I want to create a content store in ms sql server 2005 for cognos express 10.1
I want to know whether sql server 2005 will work for cognos express 10.1
and the settings which is mentioned in the foll link must be followed

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/cfpm/v10r1m0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.swg.im.cognos.cp_inst_cr_winux.10.1.0.doc%2Fcp_inst_cr_winux_id1336guidelines_sql_server_content_st.html

Since this is for Cognos BI but I didnt get the documents for cognos express content store.

Your guidance is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

MFGF

Sorry. Express uses the inbuilt Informix content store only. You don't have an option to use SQL Server for this as far as I'm aware.
