Level is out of scope and unreachable

None of us here understands what scope is all about, and what to do when it says a level is "out of scope and unreachable".

I have a dimension with 3 levels. The middle level is in red (out of scope). Why would transformer single out that one level - there's nothing different about it than any other levels in the model.

If we change the second level and mark it as unique, then the red goes away - but the second level is NOT unique - isn't that the point of a hierarchy? Only the bottom level is ever unique.

It sounds to me like Transformer has a measure which links to the middle level of your dimension. I would imagine it must be in a separate data source from the dimensional data? What is the linking key value for the dimension in question if you look at this data source?
