Dear All,

We are planning to consolidate Web(application) and job servers into one server. Removing Job server and keeping Web(Application) server.

Below is our C: and E: drive capacity for Web and Job servers.

WEB (Application) server :

      Hard Disc: C: 68.3 GB  and E: 34.9 GB

Job Server:

     Hard Disc:    C: 67.8 GB and E: 32.9 GB

My question : Is it required to increase Web server Hard disc? if it is required then what is the requirement for C and E drive?

If we keep same configuration on C drive in Web server, then any impact to server performance?

Thanks in Advance

Regards

Honey.

Hi honey,

Based on the numbers you've provided space is not a problem for any of the drives.  At most the job server install is approximately 1.3GB.  I believe a web install is less than 100MB (going from memory).  There wouldn't be any major difference in performance between your drives, assuming it's server class equipment.  Even regular consumer based equipment probably wouldn't yield any difference in performance.

Hope this helps.
