Cognos Report runs in HTML But no data available in Excel and pdf

We have a new audit report that will run everyday to gives us the list of customers who merged their accounts. The report is set to run in excel 2007 format but results in "NO DATA AVAILABLE" in excel and pdf formats. The report returns 2 rows in html which is correct. Can someone help?

It sounds like you have it set to run on a schedule. Are you getting the same results if you run the report manually? (i.e. seeing 'No Data Available' in Excel).

I am getting this in Cognos 10.2.0, did you ever get an answer?

My report is in Report Studio, there is data from our SQL Data Warehouse and data from SAP-BW in the same report.  The Data Warehouse/SQL data returns correctly in HTML, Excel and PDF formats, but the SAP data in the same report only displays on-screen in HTML.  If I run once to email no SAP data (in any format).  If I schedule - the same, if I set the default report to be Excel or PDF no SAP data, only Data Warehouse/SQL data.

I have checked Data Security, but could this be a capability issue?

Consider that I work for a Book Publishing company and our products (Materials in SAP terms) are recognised by ISBN's - 13 character numbers e.g. 9780123456789.

I was using Master/Detail relationships to join two datasets together.  In SAP we had "Material" which was 18 characters (the ISBN preceded by 5 zeros), and "Material - Key" which was compounded to 13 characters.  I was using the "Material - Key" to link the data.  I think this key is generated in the query rather than being in the data, so was not available for the relationship.  Changing the relationship to use "Material" has resolved the issue and the report now runs to PDF, Excel and via Email.
