Default to a Users Geography

Cognoise Community -

We've got an interesting requirement to 'Default' a User to their particular Geography (along our Geo Dimension down at the State Level) but the twist is that we don't want to restrict them from then traversing back up the hierarchy or from seeing other States, Regions, etc.

The current Transformer technology nicely supports 'Filtering' a user to their particular Geography and then restricting them from seeing anything else.

Anyone got any ideas or done anything like this in the past?

thanks,
Kado

Custom Views is the only thing that comes to mind.

Thanks for the thought Grim,

I'm having trouble seeing that. How would a custom view (or set of custom views) solve it?

Grim

Have a group of users setup for their geography. Use the custom view set to the group.

Just means your managing the users/groups. There is no automatic way of doing this in transformer, that I'm aware of.

You should be able to do it through FM and now Mobile.
