Cognos 8 reports opened in Cognos 10 problem

Hello People,

I have the following situation:
I opened a set of cognos 8 reports in Cognos 10 reportstudio.
The problem is that i cant open the reports anymore in Cognos 8 Reportstudio.

Is there a workaround or a solution to downgrade the set of reports so that i can open them again in Cognos 8 Reportstudio?

Nope. Assuming the report XML specs were upgraded, there is no "downgrade" facility to put them back to the C8 spec.

How did you get the reports into Cognos 10 - did you use a deployment archive? If so, the original C8 reports will still be in the archive, and you can restore this on your C8 server.  If you simply pointed your C10 instance at the C8 content store, then the whole content store will have been upgraded, and your only hope will be that you have a backup that was taken from before this point.
