Hello,

I'm creating a main report only to show a menu of report links, that do a drill through to the respective ones. This report has two prompt pages.
On the target reports, I need to do a drill through link to the "menu" report, but preserving the parameters used on first prompt page, so the drill through goes directly to the second prompt page.
Did anyone already made this ever ? I'm trying to change the parameters on main report, but no matter what I do, it always go back to first prompt page...

Thanks,
AMoreno

Have you tried to render the first prompt page according to a "dummy" parameter?

Hi pricter,

I've made a test with the render variable but, the parameters that would be chosen on the first prompt page appears in that basic cognos prompt. It doens't go directly to the second page. All parameters are optional... Any ideas ?

Thanks,

I do not have a report studio in front of me but what you have choosen in "Display prompt pages" in the "Drill Through Definition"?
Reminder:
In the Display prompt pages box, choose how to display prompt pages:

To always display prompt pages when the drill-through action occurs regardless of whether values were specified for the required parameter values, click Always.

To use the prompt settings of the target report (specified by the Prompt for Values check box in IBM Cognos Connection, Report Properties, Report tab) to determine whether to show the prompt pages, click Based on the default prompt settings of the target report.

To not display prompt pages when the required parameter values are provided by the drill-through definition, click Only when required parameter values are missing. This is the default setting.

If none of the above work as you want copy the prompts from the first page to second one and hide them.

Hello Pricter...

Thank you so much...
Copying the prompts to the second page and hiding them worked perfectly...
