Cognos 8 Crosstab Report Problem

I have a cross tab report that displays a count of widgets.  The rows are based on Region and Company while the column headers are Widget Types.  The report displays fine except that when a widget type has no data.  It is simply not displayed on the report.  The report only shows data for cross tab intersections that contain data.

What I need to do is alter my cross tab report somehow so that All Widget types are shown across the top and if there are no widgets for that Region and Company then a 0 is displayed.

I have been through the Cognos documentation and examples but cannot find anything.  All their report examples are rather straightforward and simple.

Has anyone else run into this problem and if so can you direct me to the appropriate documentation or give a quick process here?

Thanks for any help,

Brian

You see, while you define the data format of the cell members, there is a property named"Negative Pattern".
So this means when the value is empty, what to display.
So you may try to set the "Negative Pattern" value with some white space in the Widget cell.

Thanks for the reply, I did revisit the problem and seemed to have gotten it to work by using the missing value property.  I did try this before though with no success. I don't know why it is working now.  I will test it over the next few weeks to see if the report still displays 0's in empty columns.
