Clear Categories in Cognos Models Completely

How can i completely clean a model without having to rebuild it?

The case is that when i design a model with dimensions and measures i want to test it by filling it with categories from the source data. After i tested the model succesfull i want to clean the model by erasing all categories. This is important because categories can change over time and generate (uniqueness) conflicts.
When i use clean house or i delete categories manually, visually the categories are gone but technically the model is the same size in bytes.
For example an average model i build is less than 1 MB, a "categorie stuffed" model is like over 50MB.
I really need a solution for this because rebuilding models dramatically increases production time.

Solution:
Clear  the categories and than save the model as .MDL. Than save the model again as .PYI. Et voila, the model is shrinked to descent proportions.
Please note that any passwords for database connections included in the model are cleared as well.

I want to add a comment to this message because others might read it and get the wrong conclusion.

So here is how I view these issues:

1)  Deleting all categories in a model is not a good idea.  It will remove all special categories (Time Dimension has them by default, even if you have not built any manually) and they cannot be re-generated easily.
2)  If you want to do any advanced model designing, such as sub-trees, dimension views, cube groups, etc. you will need to have categories populated and saved in order to keep that design.
3)  If users are working in the PowerPlay Windows Client Reporter Mode, regenerating categories from scratch will cause existing reports to break, since the category code assignments will change as new categories arrive.
4)  If new categories are causing uniqueness violations you need to look deeper into your model design.  They should not.  Consider using unique/move or dimensions which more closely model the way the business works.
5)  If a 50MB PYI file causes that much trouble, buy a new disk drive.  They are cheap.  All of the above is EXPEN$IVE.

As I said, just my opinion (and 13 years' experience with PowerPlay!).
