Hi,

I had created a bar chart where the Y2 axis is set as percentages.
The Series data item, I had set the data format as percentages as well.
The report instead of showing the percentages, it shows a zero on top of the bar.

Has anyone have this prob before?

Hi there,

Anyone have any idea to solve this?

Setting up dataformat as percentage will simply multiply the value by 100 and adds a % symbol next to it. so if your measure value is 3 it may show as 300 %.. if you want to display % in series you have to first make sure that the measure value is actually in decimal values..

Having said that .. are you able to see the Y2 axis values in %..for ex, the Y2 axis values should be like 10 %,20 % etc.. remove the dataformat in series and apply it only in Y axis and check the data first.. what type of chart you are using is it an stacked bar, column or 100 % stacked bar?

Hi Nag,

Yes the measure value is in decimal value.
I was able to see the percentage in Y2 axis but not at the top of the bar.
I'm using combination chart where the bar is a column , not stacked

In the crosstab report, I can see the net value in decimal and when I set the data format to percentage , the crosstab also show as in percentage.

But in the chart ,it only show as a "zero"

Hi joecog,

do one thing dont change data format to y2 axis data item.keep it as decimal.then drag a text item besides that y2 axis dataitem in that add '%' symbol.in my list report i did the same thing when i face the same problem.try it in chart.hop it works.

Hi Vamsi,

The crosstab figure is shown correctly as percentage, just that in chart it was showing as decimal value.

From what mentioned by you, I not quite understand how to drag a text item beside the existing item and add in '%' symbol to it.
Do you have steps by steps to do it?

Got the solution already, the put the percentages under Data Format field for Measures will solve the problem.
