I am facing an Issue:

I have an event which runs everyday. There are three task which it mainly does. first two to run two reports and then third task to send an email attaching link for the report output.

In the recepient list I have added a group.
Now the Issue is Few users in the group are able to access the report using the link that is atatched, but few are not.

I have even tried to solve this Issue by giving permission for the individual users who are facing the Issue. But it did not work..

The error I get is:There are no report output versions available for this report.

Any Clues ??

Hi Ann,

Is this is a burst report?  If it is, commonly, you tend to see this message when the no report content has been found that corresponds to the burst key and therefore for that given user no report content has been created.

Kind Regards

Rob

Ann

No Rob.. Its not burst report. Same report output is provided to all users.
And as I said there are few users who are able to view the report output.

Ann

I can give few more details..

We have four events created that run in different timings..
alert_8am
alert_6am
alert_4am
alert_2am

all the alerts are running the same reports and sending the same output links to the users.

Hi Ann,

Interesting one... I'm not sure of the answer and I can't see a lot of information in the knowledge bases that would seem to reflect your situation.  As a way of diagnosis perhaps try:

Have you had a look in the cogserver.log file to see if a more spefic error message has been logged?

If you schedule to save the reports individually in Cognos connection can all users access them from the portal?

If they can what happens if you schedule the reports individually and email the link from Cognos connection.  Do you get the same result?

Kind Regards

Rob

Ann

The user is able to access the report output individually from cognos connection portal. Also when the reports are individually scheduled and send to mail, attaching the link, they are able to access it.

Any clues further?

Hi Ann,

Did the cogserver.log file show any further detail or an error code?

As a quick test what happens if you grant system administrator rights to one of the users who you know cannot access the content?

Rgds
