Hi,

i have developed few reports using my package.while developing those reports server also in the system(DB).so while creating package i gave my server name as LOCALHOST.
now i changed my server to another machine.here i changed my server name as ABC/sql2000 .i back up that DB and reports and restored it.i am able to view that packages.

now my problem is after creating a report using that package im getting the following error

QE-DEF-0323 The DSN(ODBC)/ServiceName is invalid.

i guess it may occurs because of changing the server name.now how can i change server name to entire package or reports?

thanks

If I understand correctly, you will  need to have a look at your data source connections in Cognos Connection. Depending on the database you are using, you may be able to change the server there, or otherwise it looks like you will need to look at your ODBC connections in Control Panel on the server.

Why use ODBC when you can use OLE/DB?

Hi,

Have you checked that the relevant ODBC drivers are installed on the new server of if you are using native SQL OLEDB that SQL connectivity has been set up on the server?
