What are the best practices for Data level security in report studio and how it should be implemented.
Appreciate your help,Please.Thanks
Boy! Cognos getting on to me!!!

It should be implemented in the Model, not in the Report.
You can also implement in your DW/DM.

Hi there

Checks these links out
('"www.ibm.com/developerworks/data/library/cognos/page58.html"')

There are also methods where you can define user level security via the data source signon authorisation permissions, but this might be a fair amount of work.
If you are using Microsoft and kerberos security you would then consider instigating namespace authentication with SSO.

A bit of a generic question but there are ways and means, its just a matter of how much work you want to put into it.

Cheers
