Multipage Dashboard based on Static Prompt

Hi all - i am trying to create a multi-page dashboard (which i have done successfully) that is controlled using one prompt report (again which i have been successful in doing).

The trouble i am having is adding a STATIC prompt to this control prompt page, which will get passed down to all the other report tabs on the dashboard, which essentially is being used as a render variable to show one crosstab or another based on this static choice

Does anyone know if it is possible to create static prompts for multi-page dashboards, using global filters (and if so how?) or if you can only create this type of report on prompts that use specific query items

Hi,

If i understand your post correctly, you are controlling the dashboards with one prompt page ( i assume you are filtering the data in dashboards based on the prompt selection).

Then you can add one more static prompt in that prompt page and use that parameter as render variable in dashboards.

Did you try this approach?

Thanks for your reply. Yes i have tried this approach but the problem with that is with static prompts you dont have the parameter as a filter in the query...

so the seperate report that i am trying to control using this static prompt doesnt have it as a filter so the parameter isn't being passed through...

If that makes sense.
