Hi  Techies
This looks like a simple question ?
I need to disable all the applications which are not being used by Users for current cycle. But as GTP is done they are available in portal. Hence can you help me to achieve this.
We have a server portal where Cognos apps are pointing to , not Cognos Connection as in BI.

Thanks & Regards

Hey Cogplan,

The way to accomplish this is to set the application 'Offline' in the CAC.  Up on the top menu bar, beside the Green GTP button, there is a Square and a Triangle.  Open the application you want to set offline and click the black square and this will prevent any end users (including administrators) from accessing the application.

I'm a little confused by your statement:

If this is an 8.3+ Planning environment with integration with BI then it's one and the same.  In a Planning only install, the same Cognos Connection portal is presented.  In any case, if you would rather remove the unused applications from Cognos Connection, you can simply click into the checkbox beside all applications you wish to remove and click the black "X" in the top right corner.  This will delete the package,  not the application itself.

Hi Anand,

I believe, and someone correct me, you can accomplish this by removing the application from the CAC.  You would then bring the application back into the CAC.  This should remove the link from the front end that 8.1 used and allow an administrator to continue working with the application.  When the application is ready to be brought back to the front end, GTP the application.

Cheers,
